i folowed all instrutions to the letter, yet i get this error:

unauthorized_client AADSTS700016: Application with identifier ‘377123fc-d34c-40d3-b23f-04f699715380’ was not found in the directory ‘f80b3bff-9b7f-420e-8fb6-dfdc9d3592d2’. This can happen if the application has not been installed by the administrator of the tenant or consented to by any user in the tenant. You may have sent your authentication request to the wrong tenant. Trace ID: 68c75bee-f85f-42ad-b17e-f13c5db31400 Correlation ID: 7421c27c-4ac3-46b3-807d-dde23a5a44b9 Timestamp: 2021-04-13 10:07:28Z`

in the past i have set up countless websites without any issues, this is the first time i’m seeing this.

i have tried deleting everything and starting again, but i always get the same error.

please can you help me sort this asap.

    thanks

  • The Azure application has to be within the same tenancy as the Microsoft Account you are using to authenticate the plugin with. I suspect what you’re doing is signing in with an account not within the same tenancy as the app you’ve set up.

One of the most common mistakes is people’s browsers are set to remember multiple Microsoft accounts, and when you click the authorise button the browser signs you in with the wrong account. To get around this, use a private/incognito browser window to force you to login with the correct credentials.

Once again though, the credentials need to be associated with an account in the same tenancy as the app you’ve set up within Azure!
