Unauthorized posting to Twitter

    Every new post or page that I create on my (brand new) WP installation is posted to Twitter.
    I just installed a new WP installation and a number of plugins (mostly paid) including Jetpack.
    None of these plugins (other than Jetpack) have any functionality relating to sharing posts or Tweeting, specifically. And I didn’t manually connect any functions between Twitter and my WordPress installation.

    After testing all sorts of options, I came to the conclusion that Jetpack or the relative WordPress.com account I created somehow opened me up to this strange feature. So I tried first deactivating and then (after it didn’t work) completely removing Jetpack.

    But the problem is not solved. Every new post is still tweeter.

    Any help or ideas on how to investigate this further would be appreciated.

  • Have you tried:
    -deactivating all plugins to see if this resolves the problem. If this works, re-activate the plugins one by one until you find the problematic plugin(s).
    -switching to the default theme to rule out any theme-specific problems.

    Also, commercial themes are not supported here. If you got the theme Live from ThemeForest, your support would be at

    If you use a commercial theme or plugin and need support, please go to their official support channel. In order to be good stewards of the WordPress community, and encourage innovation and progress, we feel it’s important to direct people to those official locations. Doing this will provide the developer with the income they need to make WordPress awesome.
    Forum volunteers are also not given access to commercial products, so they would not know why your commercial theme or plugin is not working properly. This is one other reason why volunteers forward you to the commercial product’s vendors. The vendors are responsible for supporting their commercial product.
