Unauthorized new user registration?!?!

  • Somehow, someone added themselves as a user on my blog. Any idea how this could have happened?

    I tracked you down because you didn’t leave a link so someone could actually look at your issue. Now that I know I have the correct site, you should probably expect the worst.

    You are using a version of WordPress that should have been updated for security reasons a long time ago.

    ..and then search threads in the forum with the keyword “hacked 2.7“

    That might not be the issue, but if you don’t have open registration I wouldn’t be surprised.
