Unanble to upload images via Chrome

  • On a website that I have worked on for 5 years… from this morning I am now unable to upload images via Chrome – either directly into a post or to media.

    Windows 10 64 Bit PC

    I have uninstalled Chrome and reinstalled and the same problem. (There is no problem with my hosting company uploading and my IP address is not blocked.

    My partner also has Windows 10 64 Bit Pc and she CAN still upload using Chrome to exact same website/posts etc. (we have the same IP Address)

    I do have Kaspsersky running and have tried disabling that and firewall but it still doesn’t work.

    I downloaded Opera and works fine…

    Anyone care to have a go as to why I am unable to upload images – and as from today – this has been working okay.

    In Chrome, open an incognito tab, then try uploading images – https://support.google.com/chrome/answer/95464

    It’s possible that a browser extension in Chrome might be causing a conflict. Incognito mode is a quick way of testing this, it disables all extensions.

    Do you get any error message when trying to upload images?

    Quite bizarrely this has now started working again… without doing anything (my computer may have done something but I didn’t) – two days of not being able to upload via chrome and then it suddenly starts working again…

    ps images were not uploading without ANY Chrome extensions… and a new install of chrome…
