• I was a happy user and I know you need to push the premium version of the plugin… but… a pop-up that appears overlaid on the editor screen and requires dismissal is, imo, pretty poor. I hate pushy admin messages but this is a new level, where it actually stops me from being able to post until I action it.

    Please consider removing this.

Now that the above has been resolved, I’m happy to score this plugin more positively. It adds a number of extremely useful blocks to the WordPress editor and would recommend this one over a number of similar plugins available.

    Hi David,

This is a one-time popup since we have changed prices to let people know about it. It should never appear more than once

We make sure that we comply with the guidelines. Just to clarify, the popup is dismissible, shown once, only after some days, doesn’t track anything, and only during editing. In any case, we are always open to feedback and make it a point to address any user concerns.

We also don’t want anybody to be annoyed, so I’ll be removing the popup asap. ??

This has been removed yesterday as of v1.15.1 alongside some bug fixes.

    Thank you for doing this.

I totally understand that this doesn’t break any of the guidelines (although I did check!) but I felt this was really against the spirit of them, if anything. Admin notices can be an annoyance, but understandable to help push promotions. However, blocking the editor felt, to me anyway, a little too intrusive.

Thanks for removing this ad, I do feel this ad did violate rules because it blocked my ability to edit a page until I interacted wit it. That seems like hijacking the admin to me. And, it had popped up more than once for me.

This was the first time I ever wanted to give a plugin a 1* even though it was otherwise a great plugin. I debated with myself for a day and obviously opted not to after seeing David already had. One was more than enough.

If it this ad popups on your admin settings page, that would seem fine. Please do promote your plugin. I do hope you the best and many sales so you can continue to make it better!

    Steven,

I didn’t mention about it breaking guidelines for the simple reason that… it didn’t. Because it’s a one-time dismissible message it IS allowed (I did check).

However, yeah, it’s all sorted now, which is a positive result all round.
