    I’m getting this error:
    Unable to write to directory WINABSPATHwp-content/gallery/march-2014… Is this directory writable by the server?
    when trying to upload photos using the NextGEN Public Uploader. It was working previously. Not sure what changed. I can upload from NextGEN itself (Gallery –> Add Gallery/Images). So, there seems to be some problem with the NG Public Uploader. How to fix?

    Sorry David, the original fix that I pushed out was just for the WINABSPATH fix. Curious if yours goes away when you have only one instance of the upload form. It’s not really well built to handle multiple uploads, to be honest, especially with 4 different form instances.

    Yes, as a matter of fact, I have another page with just a single uploader and I don’t get those extra messages on that page.

    I’ve got version 1.8.2
    When I try to upload I get this message:-
    “Unable to write to directory E:\hosting\mywebsitename.co.uk/E:/hosting/mywebsitename.co.uk/wp-content/gallery/publicgallery. Is this directory writable by the server?”

    I’ve checked the folder has permissions to write. That path looks a bit weird to me though with the repeated path… Any ideas how to fix?

    Looks like you’re somehow getting duplicate portions of a path, and I’m not sure why. Nothing in the code indicates that that should happen unless something else is somehow altering the ABSPATH constant in your site.

    have the same problem, but it is interesting, that i have 3 galleries, and when i try to upload in one of them, it is done successful, but when i try to upload to other 2 galleries, it gives me the error:

    Unable to write to directory /home/vioo6154/public_html/\wp-content\gallery\galerie-retro. Is this directory writable by the server?

    can anybody help me?
