Unable to write ampersand in text widget

    Hi,

    I have a problem,

    I want to create a text widget with title as

    Support & FAQ

    But since I want to validate XHTML, I am writing it as Support & amp; FAQ

    The problem is when I save the widget, & is changed to simple & by wordpress.

    & amp;

    (without the space) is being replaced with..

    &

    However, if you check the source code of the page (as i did on my 2.9.2 test install a moment ago), you’ll find the character has been output correctly as..

    & amp;

    (again without the space, forum converts them).
