Unable to view or activate ftp’d themes . . .

I have ftp’d several themes to the wp content directory, but the templates do not show up when I go to the “presentations” field/tab in WP:

Just fyi, I am not uploading “double folders” when the template is extracted.

It seems like installing themes should be a simple task, but I am not having much luck.

I would really like to get the ball rolling. Is there anyone that can help?

/www/wp/wp-content/themes/wave

p.s. I am having the same issue w/ installing a plug-in.
