Unable to view my static front page

  • Hello … i have set my static home page from settings-> reading. I am able to work on that page in the editor. However, when I try to preview that page it says -> ‘This page doesn’t seem to exist.It looks like the link pointing here was faulty. May be try searching?’. The same page when convert to a normal page, I can view it. No matter which page I set as my static home page, the above message is displayed. Am using the theme astra.

    I just check theme astra on localhost it works fine, please update your theme, plugin, and WordPress.

    Thanks for the response @wbcomdesigns. But I have already uninstalled & installed my theme and WP4.8 several times. I do not have any plugins installed yet. Does this need any plugin? Recently I added code to direct from http to https, can this have any impact?

    I am not sure. It looks like you setup your files wrongly. Have you tried installing other themes? If you would like to collaborate on this project, just let me know.
