I’ve been using the free version of NextGen Gallery for quite some time now and it was working fine. Today however, I noticed that the galleries are no longer displaying images, only links to the photos and when I click the links to the photos I get a notice saying “The requested content cannot be loaded”
Nor does the slide show load

So far I’ve tried resetting to plug in to it’s default settings
    disabling plug ins
checking for restrictions in my htaccess file
    checking the file permissions
and swapping out the theme for the default one but nothing works…

I’m currently at a loss as to how to proceed at this point

@bluesybil – Please share the Site Details from under Gallery > Overview | Site Details tab; and, the inserted display’s generated shortcode you are using.

    Thanks!

@bluesybil – Please click to edit the preview image then insert the display. This will create the new generated shortcode that will be used for that specific inserted display.

Please share that shortcode afterward (what you shared earlier was just the image placeholder tag from older versions of NextGEN Gallery).

    Thanks!

I’m sorry, but I’m not exactly sure what I’m looking for..
when I click to edit the place holder, this is generated in the html area

    [ngg_images source=”albums” container_ids=”1,2,3,4,5,10,11,12″ display_type=”photocrati-nextgen_basic_extended_album” gallery_display_type=”photocrati-nextgen_basic_thumbnails” galleries_per_page=”0″ enable_breadcrumbs=”1″ enable_descriptions=”0″ override_thumbnail_settings=”0″ thumbnail_width=”240″ thumbnail_height=”160″ thumbnail_crop=”1″ order_by=”sortorder” order_direction=”ASC” returns=”included” maximum_entity_count=”500″]

that creates the gallery page as always, but when I click a link within the gallery to view the thumbnails I can not see the thumbnail images, only links and if I click that it tells me that the requested content can not be loaded

Same happens when I try to create a new gallery as well.

@bluesybil – The shortcode looks fine (provided you have an album with multiple albums added to it in the IGW … this would be more easily accomplished under Gallery > Manage Albums).

Can you share the URL where you have the above generated shortcode inserted?

    Thanks!

    – Cais.
