When I run the Mail Delivery Wizard, the validation process times out after 1 minute (“probing your mail server”. I’ve tested using an incorrect address to make sure it wasn’t the login credentials
I double checked the SMTP address and port
    I tested on port 465
I tested with “Disable SSL Verification” active and inactive

    What am I missing

    Here is the Debug Log:
The Wizard timed out when trying to connect to your Mail Server. This probably means your server is blocking the SMTP port you have specified, please check with them that they have these ports open. If they will not open the ports, you may have to use wp_mail mode.

  • Hi @tlnw

It sounds like the SMTP port you’re trying to use is getting blocked by your web host.

Have you contacted your host about that?

If not, we suggest reaching out to your host. You’ll need to get the SMTP ports unblocked on your server for it to be able to send.

Let us know how that goes!

Funny you should mention that, I went into Plesk to check the settings and made sure “Enable SMTP service on port 587 on all IP addresses” is checked. Do you know of anything else I should check for?

    Hi!

Sorry to hear it’s still not working properly for you.

You can try to check the guides below for the process of configuring SMTP in your Jetpack CRM mail settings:

    https://kb.jetpackcrm.com/knowledge-base/setting-up-smtp-outbound-emails-with-jetpack-crm/
    https://kb.jetpackcrm.com/knowledge-base/mail-delivery-method-setup-smtp/

If all of the outlined directions have been properly followed but the connection errors persist, there may be an issue on the server-side, which isn’t something we can fix, unfortunately, since we don’t have access to your email or hosting account

I’d strongly recommend contacting your web/email host and explain you’re not able to add SMTP for your Office 365 email address. They should be able to check everything on their end and make any needed adjustments.

Let us know how it goes. Thank you!
