Everything was working as expected until we had to verify our DNS records, and now we’re unable to send anything – Your newsletters and post notifications have been paused. Authenticate your sender domain to continue sending.

Having issues with verifying DNS records. They’re correct, but it still says missing.

Latest version of free and premium plugin.

Our DNS records all check out with the whatsmydns.net checks listed here kb.mailpoet.com/article/295-spf-dkim-dmarc, there is nothing wrong with them.

The email addresses in our settings share the same domain, but still getting “domain not found” and “dns record completely missing” on every verification attempt.

Makes no sense, it’s been days since we added the records, and currently waiting on a support ticket response.

    The website is thejourneybacktosoul.com.

    Hi there @shortxstack,

Thanks for reaching out to MailPoet support.

I checked the account for the site https://thejourneybacktosoul.com/. Please note that while this legacy plan does have access to our Premium plugin and features, it is not a paid plan. While we do provide support where we can for free accounts, they are given a lower priority in our main queue.

That said, I was able to check the Domain Authentication settings for the domain https://thejourneybacktosoul.com/ and they look good from our side. In our system, that domain shows as verified.

Please note that it takes up to 48 hours for domain changes to propegate everywhere across the internet. While online tests may have shown the update by directly pinging the domain, it may have taken a day or two to reach our servers.

In any case, the domain is authorized now so you should be good to go.

    Hi there @ygkm,

I was not able to locate an open ticket in our system from you on this topic, but I was able to find your MailPoet account.

There are actually two accounts showing a link to your website at https://www.yeshurunfarm.com/ so it is unclear which account holds the key that is actually in use.

However, I can confirm that at this time, **both accounts show your https://www.yeshurunfarm.com/ domain as fully verified.**

As I noted above, it can take up to 48 hours for domain information to propagate so it may have taken a couple of days for your changes to reach our servers. In any case, you should be good to go now.

If you are still seeing issues, as there are two different keys in play here, I’d recommend doing a quick key verification – you can do that under MailPoet > Settings on the “key activation” tab, click “Verify” just to make sure you are connecting to the right key.

If you require more help, please open your own forum topic so we can track that separately.

Thank you for your help, Lynn. It does say verified on all 4 of them, however we’re still getting the notice that says “Your newsletters and post notifications have been paused. Authenticate your sender domain to continue sending.” and it’s asking us to authenticate, despite those 4 records saying verified. Upon clicking verify DNS records, we’re still getting the “domain not found” error.

I figured it out. The way the mailpoet pluggin is building the recommended cname and txt records, was causing a problem. Only the hostname portion of the URL needed to be copied into the dns record and the provider’s system inputs the domain name and top level domain name. So I was getting those entries twice. example hostname.domain.com.domain.com should just be entered as hostname, the providers system adds the domain.com.

    Hi there @shortxstack,

Ah I see. On the site, can you please go under MailPoet > Settings on the “key authentication” tab, and click the “Verify” button? This will re-set the connection between the site and our servers and hopefully will clear the error.

If that doesn’t work, we will have to dig deeper into your site’s specific settings so it is best to continue to work this issue via your open ticket. You should have received a direct email from me on that ticket; please respond when possible to continue debugging if resetting the connection does not work.

    Hi again @ygkm,

Thank you for updating us here! It is true that some hosts automatically fill in the domain section of the field value for you, but some hosts do not. We include the domain in the value for those that might need the full field value.

I’ve made a note to attempt to clarify in our documentation that if your host is one that auto-fills the domain at the end of the field value, then only the prefix needs to be copied and added for domain authentication. Thanks for bringing this to our attention.

my pleasure. My network provider is Network Solutions.

    Hi there @ygkm,

Thanks again for that extra detail! I’m sure it will help other users with the same provider.

I’ll mark this thread as resolved for now but please do open a new forum post if you have additional issues or questions with your own site.

    In the meantime, happy mailing!

@lynnjat7 I am having exactly the same issue as above. DNS is verified, all show ticks, but still says I need to authenticate, and emails are paused.
When I try to ‘domain not found’. Everything shows ok on your website, but on my website I keep getting the errors, can you help please?

    Hi there @goblindreamsuk,

I see you have opened a separate forum post on this topic, and I’ve suggested a fix for you over there.

I’ll mark this thread as solved – please check the other thread for updates.
