Unable to use Product Name

    Hi All,

    Let me preface by saying this is an absolutely wonderful review plugin. I am having an issue getting the product name functionality to work correctly. I want to have a restricted, single drop down item. My settings are below: https://s16.postimg.org/hfsgpfdid/Screenshot_2016_10_06_23_29_28.png

    I tried changing the top two settings to Yes/Yes, Yes/No, and No/Yes.

    I have tried editing an existing review and adding a new one.

    In all cases, the review edit page does not have a dropdown for the product name; it has a text input box with no restrictions. Any suggestions?

    Hi Doer,

    Thank you for the kind words. Are you trying to create/modify the review in the back-end admin or on the front end using the review submission form? The options (from the screenshot you posted) only affect the behaviour on the front end of your site (to restrict what visitors to your site can review). They don’t apply to the back-end admin because, theoretically, it should only be site admins logging in to the back end and so, with that in mind, you have full control over all review inputs and settings.

    Thank you for response. That consideration makes sense, and I have it working now.

    If our website only sells one product, is there a way to disable the product name from showing at all since all reviews are for the same product? I have used the ‘product_name= “”‘ attribute for the shortcodes which eliminates the need to select/write a name, but it doesn’t remove the name entirely.

    I have solved my own question. For anyone else interested, add “.ewd-urp-review-product-name {display:none;}” to the custom CSS.
