• Here’s the problem (I hope someone can help),

I have downloaded a template I would like to use. I extracted the files and then I copied the extracted files and pasted them into the ‘wp-content/themes’ of my wordpress directory.

However, the template is not showing on my options in the admin area of my web blog. I still only have the ‘classic’ and ‘fresh’ templates to choose from.

Is it possible my web blog is not linked to my wordpress folder on my desktop? If that’s the case, how do I link it to my site?

I would really appreciate some help from you guys in the know.

  • ??? “copy and paste”, “web blog connected to desktop” ??
If you don’t have a locally running blog, I think you’ve missed something. The theme should be put on the server where your blog is. This is usually done with FTP. The theme goes in the wp-content/themes folder, but make sure you don’t have “nested folders”, as in wp-content/themes/themefolder/themefolder/themefiles.
