Unable to upload theme

  • I’ve been trying to upload the theme Oblivion without any success. I had managed to upload it before on another site and for whatever reason, I’m having issues getting on the new site. I checked with the theme developer and they have told me that it is not on their end. I checked the max size to upload and it is far larger than the file size. Every time I try to upload it, it gets all the way to 99% and then shows me the “Are you sure you want to do this?” page.

  • Have you tried increasing the max_execution_time? Typically for premium themes you want to increase that to 300. Also try to disable all plugins while trying to do the upload in somecases that can be a problem too.

    I tried that and it did not work. Though I will admit, I’m attempting to edit the max_execution_time via a plugin. I do not have access to the ftp.

    You do not have access at all or your just having trouble accessing ftp?

    No access at all. The place we’re hosting does not provide it.

    Ok, that makes it hard to solve the problem. Do you have access to your Database? If you do check the upload_path and delete any entry and try again.
