So strange issue appeared on a site where we were able to install plugins from the WordPress repository. But if we tried to upload plugins manually we kept getting a 403 error. I disabled this plugin and was then able to upload plugins again. I then tried using Disable Classic Editor and was also still able to upload plugins. Running PHP 8.1 as a FYI.

Yeah that’s very strange considering the plugin has nothing to do with plugin uploads. Regardless, I want to resolve any issue asap, so please let me know the steps to repeat the issue on default WP install, thank you.

So I am now wondering if the issue arose from an improper PHP INI settings. Like the hosting account had an old PHP.INI file floating around within the hosting account where it was supposed to be getting set via the .htaccess file.

    Sorry about that.
