Unable to Upload Images in 2.5

  • I select an image in the new image upload feature in WordPress 2.5 and it doesnt work. I click on “Choose files to upload” button. Select an iamge from the file dialog window. And I’m brought back to the original Image upload window “From Computer” with the “choose files to upload” button. It does not transform into the image upload window as I have seen in video and screenshots. No error is given. Basically, I select the iamge in the image upload dialog window and nothing happens.

    Other people have been able to upload images using the WP2.5 image upload on my installation.

    I have tried Safari, Camino and Firefox. I’ve reset cache.

    Any idea what I’m doing wrong?

  • This STILL DOES NOT WORK with 2.5
    Orfilms it is not you … it is a bug and what seems to be a old one

    I am not sure what the common issue is as I can get it to work on another server

    What OS are you running and what web server and version

    Well the thing is its not a webserver issue because other people using the same wordpress install, same account even, can get the iamge upload to work. I think it must be something on my end?

    Oh OK we may be working separate issues …
    I can not upload to any of my installs on my server from any machine/os/browser combo.

    I will open another post on this … Hope you find a answer

    I don’t think you’re doing anything wrong orfilms. I have the exact same issue. I enter the image just as you described and nothing happens. There’s no error message as others describe just zilch. Luckily I discovered Windows Live writer recently and it’s plugged into the blog as an alternate editor. When I load images into my drafts and then publish them to the blog they show up in the media library but I can’t edit them. I look in the media library and hit the Show button and nothing happens. I hope they fix this as the new media features are inoperable. thank heavens for Live Writer.

    You can try this soultion, if it solves your problem.

    Messing with code I don’t understand would screw up my entire blog not just the image uploader.

    Any updates on this? I think being able to upload images is vital for god content. I am also unable to include images on my posts.
    Any insight is appreciated
