• I recently ran into the situation where I cannot upload images to wordpress. Whenever I try to upload I get an error message saying ‘‘Unable to create directory wp-content/uploads/2014/10. Is its parent directory writable by the server?’.

I heard I should try to change the permissions of the wp-content thought I do not know to what. This is for the one client of mine who insists on using Godaddy (strongly against my advice) for hosting and I’m not getting much help from the Godaddy Support team. They keep saying it’s wordpress’ problem when it is clearly a Godaddy issue.

What should I do or what can I try to fix this?
