Unable to Upload Images

  • For about 3 days I haven’t been able to upload any images to my site. The images seem to upload (the loading status bar moves all the way over) but when I look at my thumbnails, the new image is just grey and blank, as if it’s missing, and I can’t add it to my site.

  • Have you upgrading WordPress recently, or your PHP?
    If you have then you can downgrade which is simple, I can walk you through it if you need help (Both wordpress or PHP)

    Another issue it could be is a plugin confliction, just deactivate all plugins and see if you can upload images. If you can then it is one of your plugins, turning them on one by one from their would be your next step, then then the corrupt plugin is back on you would get the same issues. I have a feeling it’s Jetpack, I has issue with it in the past.

    Thanks for getting back to me!

    My WordPress updates automatically, and I believe it has done so recently…

    I did deactivate Jetpack and a few other plugins (I don’t have many on my site), but that didn’t help. I’m pretty hesitant to just disable all of my plug-ins since I’m not very tech-savy. But I really doubt it’s the other ones..

    My WordPress is now saying ‘HTTP error’ when I try to upload an image, but I don’t know what that means…
