Unable to upload images

I recently ran into the situation where I cannot upload images to wordpress. Whenever I try to upload I get an error message saying ‘The uploaded file could not be moved to wp-content/uploads/2014/09.’

I heard I should try to change the permissions of the wp-content thought I do not know to what. This is for the one client of mine who insists on using Godaddy for hosting and I’m not getting much help from the Godaddy Support team.

What should I do or what can I try to fix this?
