    I am trying to set up Woocommerce’s native Google Listings & Ads plugin on arks4autoparts.com

    However I am unable to get past step 3 of the setup procedure, as the plugin getting below error.

    “Unable to update your Google Merchant Center contact information. Unable to update Merchant Center account: Can not access the Google My Business account”

    I tried to setup with storefront theme and also disabling all plugin except WooCommerce and Google Listings & Ads. but still getting same error.

  • I have the same issue + Unable to request the phone verification code. I escalated issue with Google support, here is their response:

    Regarding the concern about the WooCommerce phone number verification, we consulted our wider team. The wider team shared the response that the Google Merchant Center account has the phone number verified and for the WooCommerce issue, they may not be able to proceed on the concern as the issue is not in our scope.

    We are really sorry for the delayed response, however, we needed to check whether the issue is occurring from Google Merchant account or not. 

    We recommend you to contact the WooCommerce team for further assistance. 

    We understand that the resolution is not up to your preference and we really wish that we could do something else to make your experience better in order to meet the expectations. However, unfortunately we find ourselves constrained by the policy guidelines.

    “I would like to mention that we block access to the file when you are trying to access it via the browser which is why you won’t see this output. However, this would not prevent the plugin from connecting to your website as this restriction only applies for browser access.

    The error logs you’ve shared suggest that your WooCommerce store is not properly linked to your Google account .

    Furthermore, the repeated 403 error messages indicate that you don’t have the necessary permissions to access the Google My Business account. This could be due to incorrect account details or permissions settings in your Google account.

    To resolve this issue, please follow these steps to disconnect and reconnect your account again:

    Next, go to Marketing > Google Listings & Ads and set up the connection again.

    You may also need to review your Google My Business account permissions to ensure that you have the necessary access.
