Unable to Update to 2.0.17 – No such file or directory warnings

  • I saw an update was available, backed up my current files then ran the update. It failed with the following errors:

    Warning: touch() [function.touch]: Unable to create file /tmp/nextgen-gallery.tmp because No such file or directory in /home/donnel6/public_html/wp-admin/includes/file.php on line 179

    Warning: unlink(/tmp/nextgen-gallery.tmp) [function.unlink]: Operation not permitted in /home/donnel6/public_html/wp-admin/includes/file.php on line 503

    Download failed. Could not open handle for fopen() to /tmp/nextgen-gallery.tmp

    Any ideas
