Unable to update posts or pages

  • For the third time in 3 months I am unable to edit posts or pages on my website. I can get to the dashboard no problem but when I open a draft post the editing box is blank. I have had extensive dealings with my hosting provider and they cannot edit my draft post either so they feel it is not their problem because they have the same problem as me. I have done everything suggested in all the support forums yet nothing works. The last two times I randomly one day was able to edit my posts again, with no known reason!! I have gone into troubleshooting mode, disabled all plugins except the classic editor which I need, switched to the twenty seventeen theme, done the Health Check and nothing will allow me to edit the draft post I have sitting there. I am at a loss now and considering moving away from WordPress to get a functioning site again unless anyone has a new idea. Thanks. Susan.

    I read something about using my browser to diagnose a problem and when I followed the instructions I got the below message:

    /wp-content/plugins/wp-slimstat/admin/js/amcharts/plugins/export/libs/xlsx/xlsx.min.js:14 Uncaught SyntaxError: Invalid or unexpected token

    Any suggestions on what I can do to fix this?

    More errors that I don’t understand, could any of these be causing my issues?
