Unable to update plugins

  • Hi there,

    so I have been unable to update any plugins. When I get in my website, to the updates page, on the top it says: an automatic update failed: please try again. once I click try again, nothing happens. I can see that WP is on the most recent version.

    Then, I try to update any of my 21 plugins that require update, it says that the update is starting, the process may take a while, but nothing happens. No updates, whatsover. I am on this for a few days now.

    What can I do?

  • Check if there is enough free space in your hosting.

    Also check if there is any entry in the error log of your hosting.

    Also deactivate all plugins as a test. Do the updates work then? If so, one of the plugins was to blame. You would have to activate them individually to determine the culprit.
