• Hello,

Appreciate if I could get help on this and thank you in advance.

The server that I am using to host my WordPress site is within my company’s network and I have no issues using WordPress. However, when I am out of company and accessing the website using my personal network (WiFi or mobile network), whenever I choose to “Update” my page/post, I will get a out of connection error blank weppage. Navigating through the website and wp-admin have no problems.

I hope that I can seek assistance to resolve this matter.

    Thank you.

  • Sounds like an IP issue. You should check server’s permissions.
Try update your site while connected to you mobile within the office (via 3G, not wifi) and see if you manage to update your site

    Hi @xavierwoocc,

Would you be able to confirm two things for me:

    1) do you have any security plugins like wordfence or an equivalent?

    2) Are you the Sys admin for the server or is there another person or team who assist with maintenance and security on this server and on the company network?

    Hi @krisjl

    Thanks for your reply!

    1. Nope. I did not install any security plugins
    2. Yes, I am the system admin of the server. But I have no control on the company’s network (ports, firewall, etc.)

    Hi @xavierwoocc,

I’ve been looking into this and have found many issues where access outside of a network fails, but not just posting. A strange one!
Would it be possible to load the Chrome developer tools, go to the network tab and try updating the post and letting me know what it says?
