Usually when order is created, PDF Invoice has the following options:
    “View” “Update” “Delete”

However recently sometimes it only has
    “View”

Even after changing the order their isn’t an option to update the invoice.
It seems to only be orders manually created from WooCommerce-Orders-Add Order, order’s placed through the website store don’t seem to have a problem updating the pdf invoice.
I’ve also had trouble consistently replicating the issue. I think the order of the steps in which I create the order, update the status of the order, update the order details (items) has something to do with it.

  • We have the exact same issue. I can’t update a PDF invoice after adding a product myself to someone’s order…

After WEEKS of having the problem I have FINALLY found a manual workaround. I manually deleted the copy of the pdf invoice on the server (my server provider uses cPanel, I logged in and used the file manager, you could also ssh). The plugin wouldn’t be able to find it therefore it would come up with the option of creating a new one. When I did this it updated it based the current details of the order.

Since version 2.9.4 we removed the ability to update the PDF invoice when it already has been sent to the customer. If in what manner you still want to update the invoice, you can do so by resetting a custom field.

    1. Go to Edit Order page.
    2. Change custom field ‘bewpi_pdf_invoice_sent’ value within custom field widget to 0.
    3. Refresh page and Update and Delete actions will appear again.
