Unable to update from 1.5.8.2 to 1.5.8.3 “Download Failed. Not found”?

    When running updates on a client’s site this morning, I found that I’m unable to update the Easy FancyBox plugin from 1.5.8.2 to 1.5.8.3

    If I select the plugin in the list of available updates on the “Dashboard>Updates” page, and click “Update plugins” it fails for the reason listed in the below screenshot.

    Also if I attempt to click “Update now” next to the plugin on the Plugins page, it says “Update Failed: Download Failed. Not found.”

    Why would this be?

    Stupid support system doesn’t list new topics at the top…

    Same issue, but I suspect a few things going on, as this isn’t the only plugin I’m having an issue with.

    Really Simple SSL is having a similar problem. WP Touch Mobile was having the same problem, but that seems to be resolved.

    FYI – I also experienced this for the 1.6 update, took a couple hours but has now resolved itself so is worth a retry.

    Hi all, yes I waited a few hours after the release of 1.5.8.3 but when it still was not visible on the www.remarpro.com repository, I tried various things to “shake it up” fearing the repo sync was stuck for some reason. One of the things I tried was simplifying the version number so 1.6 is basically the same release.

    I fear that my attempts to get things going actually only made it slower though…

    Please let me know if updating to 1.6 still poses problems.

    @bdbrown thanks for sharing the sync issue post, I was not aware it was global issue before ??
