    Hi,

I’m building a website with Elementor Pro, and i put ACF fields into Elementor template to generate my posts.
There are many fields, so i just want to make search on some of them (text fields only), called texte1,texte2… text6, and the title and the excerpt.
I put them in custom fields slot in Relevanssi, separated by commas, generated the index, but anyway, the results are always the same, regardless of the search request.
You can see my settings here : https://prnt.sc/uzg2xc and https://prnt.sc/uzg2ox

    Thanks for your support.

Looks like your search isn’t Relevanssi, at least it doesn’t respond to Relevanssi parameters. Try using the Relevanssi admin search (Dashboard > Admin search). Does that get you different results than your front end search, and do the custom fields work there?

    Hi,

After investigating, i think i know what’s the problem.

Relevanssi gives me normal results on the dashboard’s backend, and the frontend IF the search result is not managed by Elementor.

I’ve builded on Elementor an Archive page following those instructions (https://docs.elementor.com/article/357-customize-the-search-results-archive) and the search results are ok IF i’m disabling Relevanssi.

I tried to disable custom fields in Relevanssi for a regular functioning, and yet, Elementor return no result. So, it’s not ACF problem, but something prevents Elementor to get results from Relevanssi.

Edit : found a message from you posted the 24 August. No solution :
“the key here is the Search Page template: the Elementor Search Page templates are not compatible with Relevanssi. In order to be able to use Relevanssi, you need to use the plain WP search results template.

If possible, please contact Elementor and let them know that you’d like to be able to use Relevanssi with the Elementor Search Page templates. That won’t be possible until the Elementor people figure out that’s what their users want and add support for Relevanssi.”

Yeah, that custom search results template is not compatible with Relevanssi. You just can’t do that. Elementor would need to support Relevanssi.

You have to use the regular WordPress search results template, that works fine with Relevanssi. I’ve contacted the Elementor folks in order to get them to add Relevanssi support to Elementor, so hopefully one day it’ll just work.
