Unable to translate the plugin

  • I’ve just installed the plugin for test purposes. Unfortunately, my translations are not working. I know how to translate a plugin. I created the language files and put them in the wp-content/languages/plugins folder. No luck I tried it with both files:

    wdm-product-enquiry-de_DE_formal.mo
    wdm-product-enquiry-de_DE_formal.po

    and

    woocommerce-email-inquiry-cart-options-de_DE_formal.mo
    woocommerce-email-inquiry-cart-options-de_DE_formal.po

    Then I tried to put them in the plugin languages folder. No luck, it doesn’t work. What am I missing here?
