Unable to transfer file on ftp, unable to change file permissions

  • Ever since i have installed the itheme security plugin, I am unable to overwrite files through FTP and unable to change file permissions in FTP.
    1) Tried deactivating the plugin- No Solution
    2) Settings- System File- Protect System Files is unchecked.
    3) Settings- Remove File Writing Permissions is also unchecked.
    But still i am not able to overwrite file in FTP and make changes in file permissions.
    Need your kind help with this.

  • I am no expert but speculate that your problem could be due to entries in your database which reamin after toy make changes to the settings. I suggest that you talk to somone who knows the WP Database system.
