Unable to tax shipping in Woocommerce

    Hi, I’d like to tax not only the total amount of products in my cart, but also the shipping cost as well with Woocommerce. However, even after selecting the “Shipping” option, which says it will include shipping costs in the taxable amount, Woocommerce will not calculate it correctly. I’m using WC version 2.5.5.     Is there something I’m missing here? Any help would be greatly appreciated!

    Hi Claudio, yes, I’ve tried both the “standard” and the “based on cart items” options and it doesn’t seem to effect how the tax is calculated. Any other ideas? I’m really at a loss here…

    From what I can see on your screenshot, I would recommend you go to the Tax Options tab. From there, towards the bottom, you can check a box that is labeled to calculate Tax On Shipping. That will set your settings to include tax on the shipping cost also, not just the base price of the item itself.

    Hi, under the Tax tab I don’t see an box to check called “Tax On Shipping,” however, there’s a drop -down menu option called “Calculate Tax Based On” which I have set to the shipping address. Am I missing something? https://screencast.com/t/iaeKLnfeQBu

    Oh, I see exactly what you mean. You can actually go in and create your own shipping “Standard” Tax Rate, when you do that there is a box that you must check for the tax to be inclusive of the shipping.

    Like THIS.

    Click on Insert Row, create your own tax rate based off of the rate you want to apply, and check the box for Shipping.

    Hope this wasn’t too difficult of an explanation.
