Unable to set up or deactivate Jetpack

    I installed the Jetpack plugin in order to WooCommerce but when clicking the Set up Jetpack button I just get a “An error occurred. Please try again.” message. Trying the Jetpack debug tool I get “Could not validate security token”.

    I am unable to deactivate and uninstall/reinstall Jetpack in the plugin menu. After clicking deactivate the webpage tries to load for ages and nothing happens.

    I reached out to my hosting provider (iPage) and they said the token from Jetpack in invalid and I need to reach out to them.

    I clicked buttons until I got a proper error (HTTP 500), then called up my hosting provider and got them to sort it out for me.
