Unable to set up Mailpoet account for existing user

Hi
I have a client who has been using Mailpoet 3 for several years, but using her website to send mail. I’m trying to set up a Mailpoet account for her but can’t even get to first base. I enter the email address (same one she’s been using to send Mailpoet email) and I get this message:Could not sign-up: email is not available.
Tried several different times on Firefox and on Chrome, same result.
I’ve also searched on the support section of your site. No joy.
What’s going on? I’ve done this for several clients in the past year with no problem at all.
