    Hi guys,

I am fairly inexperienced in WordPress, did some search on this forum but didn’t find answers related to my issue.

When I login to my backoffice I seem to have lost accessibility to most settings.

    I can only see:
    – dashboard
    – profile

    and nothing else.

My site is still up it seems and there is no other admin. I am the only one.

Do you have any idea what happened?

How can I gain access again?

    Thank you for your help.

    Peter

  • Hi Peterwajdzik,

If you are the only one user in your site you must be administrator. Can you check your role.

    Hi Gorakh.sth,

I cannot even see that screen.

    Under Profile I can see:
    -personal options (color scheme)
-name (username, first name, nick name, etc.)
    -contact info
    -about yourself

    Under Dashboard I can see:
    -activity (posts comments)
    -latest news
    etc.

Does it look like my site was hacked?

    Thanks

In Dashboard You can see Users – All Users.

    Check your user role.

I checked again and there is nothing related to users.

    Activity
    WordPress News
    News and Updates
    Site Stats

    That’s literally everything…

Do you have any ideas how to resolve this?

    Thank you

    You may have been hacked.

Look for the bit about ‘Lost Admin Privileges’. Unfortunately the cure may be a bit daunting if you’ve never used phpmyadmin.

If you get it sorted out change to very secure passwords and install some protection plugins like Bulletproof and Wordfence.
