Did you install WordPress via dnf or by downloading from wp.org?

Yeah, don’t do that.

remove the install from DNF. Download a copy from wp.org and follow

I don’t know how the Fedora rpm installs WP and am not going to try to play around with how it might work. If you use a clean, wp.org install, we have a better chance. Also, while testing, put SELinux in permissive mode and check the audit logs.

I have WP installed on my F25 box w/o problems — no DNF involved.
