Unable to search “ampersands” like “&”?!

I have a blog and in my blog I have some name of companies like “P&O” that I need to have searched. The posts have things like P&O, but when I try to search for “P&O”, the search only works on “P” and stops at the ampersand….

Is there a fix for this? Or a plugin? These seems like a problem we all might have…
