Unable to save web story

The Web Stories plugin filters the WordPress logic related to empty_content, so it sounds like some other plugin is potentially interfering. Does this still happen if you temporarily deactivate other plugins?

If you check out the REST API request that’s being made, do you see post_content and post_content_filtered fields being sent?

Also there is no option for entering excerpt in web story plugin.

What do you mean by that, can you share a screenshot? There is a big “Story Description” field in the document panel. See:

If none of the above helps, you can manually hook into the wp_insert_post_empty_content filter and do some debugging there to see what’s interfering. As a last resort you could do add_filter( 'wp_insert_post_empty_content', '__return_false', PHP_INT_MAX ) to disable the empty check in WordPress.

Hi Pascal Birchler thanks for reply. After adding story description I am able to save the story but when some template is added then then it is not getting saved and not getting any error.

It still sounds like some other plugin is potentially interfering. Does this still happen if you temporarily deactivate other plugins?

Hi Pascal Birchler, these two fields and not being sent in the post request.
And I am not able to see Side Health, when I click on tool it is showing blank.

Ah, apologies, I misremembered. The content and excerpt fields should be sent.

Again, please try deactivating all other plugins and switch to a default theme to see if the error still occurs. You can use this plugin to only do this for yourself without affecting your visitors.

As for Site Health, there should be a menu entry for this in your wp-admin:

Also, I’d recommend updating WordPress to the latest version.

Hii Pascal, I am unable to install this plugin you mentioned earlier.
I am getting this error message while doing so.
Installation failed: The package could not be installed. PCLZIP_ERR_BAD_FORMAT (-10) : Unable to find End of Central Dir Record signature

That’s strange. If it doesn’t work when downloading it again (or installing directly through Plugins -> Add New) then you might not have enough disk space on your server. In that case you need to reach out to your hosting provider.

The easiest way is still to simply manually temporarily disable all other plugins (and changing the theme) for a couple of minutes and I suggest doing so. That’s the quickest way to isolate the issue.

Things are working now.
As you mentioned, the server was running low on storage. This was the cause behind the saving issue too.
