Unable to save or publish since update…

@slashedbeauty Hello, I’m sorry to hear you’re having issues with saving stories. It’s important that we try to gather as many details as possible to try and determine what could be causing the problem, so thank you in advance for working with us on that.

Could you please check for any browser console errors while the buttons are grayed out? The error messages could give us some clues about possible interferences. If any, please copy/paste the errors here or share a screenshot.

Could you also share your Site Health information? That way we can look for any obvious plugins that could be conflicting as well. You can share privately if you prefer.

Also, the preview button now loads in the same tab. So I have to then redirect to my admin dashboard and click into the story to get back to it.

@slashedbeauty Thank you for sharing the Site Health information and the console errors.

The console errors that you shared indicate that there is some kind of conflict with the Featured Images in RSS for Mailchimp & More plugin that you have installed. I noticed when activating it on a test site that I experienced similar issues but will need to investigate it further.

To help with this testing, could you temporarily disable that plugin briefly to check if you are able to save stories normally?

The preview button loading in the same tab is an interesting report. We’d like to rule out plugin/theme conflicts with that so if you could, please use the Health Check & Troubleshooting plugin and enable its troubleshooting mode. This mode disables active plugins and switches to a default theme safely because it only affects the experience of the logged-in user.

Next, enable plugins and your theme one by one until the issue occurs.

If Web Stories works when it’s enabled by itself, then we can suspect something else is interfering and go from there.
