    Hi,

This crops up from time to time and has appeared again on one of my clients sites.

I am unable to save any changes to the Options in Wordfence, as the option is already checked with the text: “Your changes have been saved!”

Cannot find a standard resolve to this, so await any help on this.

Wordfence works fine with all my other clients sites… just not this one!

    grrr

OK – looked a bit further and found that be deleting the .htaccess file here:
    /wp-content/plugins/wordfence/.htaccess

    resolved the problem!

But should there not be a .htaccess file here for… ahem security?

Getting fed up with Malware attacks at present… despite all plugins updates… WP up to date, high passwords etc, but the buggers still get in… sorry rant over!

    Hi there,

Well that is interesting! That .htaccess we have doesn’t actually do much, it just prevents access to the readme.txt and screenshots so I may consider moving or modifying it. I don’t know why this would fix your issue though, if you could check the apache logfile on the next update and let me know if you see anything when you try to save, that would be helpful.

    Thanks for the feedback.

    Regards,

    Mark.
