    Hi there,

Fantastic plugin! I have it running on all my WordPress sites.

But unfortunately I am unable to run Wordfence on one of them. When I hit “Start a Wordfence Scan” nothing happens and I receive no error messages.

I have another site with the same web host that runs Wordfence fine.

I’m afraid I can’t share the link to the site on a public forum as the site is still under development.

Thanks in advance for your help.

    Caroline

  • Is anybody using Hostgator? I talked to them earlier and they’re experiencing brute force attacks on some of their servers including one of the shared servers my client is using. My personal site runs the scan fine but this client’s does not… I’m wondering if affected servers have scripts that the plugin requires being disabled.

I posted way up there in the thread (2nd post) that I was having similar issues to the OP

In fact, on that same site, I’ve just wiped the entire site, installed WP3.5.1 fresh, added WordFence 3.6.9 as the only plugin, using the default twentytwelve theme … and WordFence still will not save the Options page nor start a scan.

The only post/comment on the site are the defaults ones when you first install WP. Six months now I’ve been waiting for you to comment on my problem, and you haven’t yet.

As I said above, this is on a VPS, and the other domains on that VPS all run WordFence perfectly. I love WordFence, but getting frustrated my one “problem” is being ignored – I’ve lost 6 months of site live time waiting for an answer.

I’m stumped on this – any clues you can point at?
