Unable to restore

Greetings. I am in a bit of a stressful situation because I am unable to restore my site using the backup that I created using updraftplus. I have never used any other backup plugin. When I try to upload the backup file from my Google Drive, I get the error that states that “This file is not an UpdraftPlus backup archive (such files are .zip or .gz files which have a name like: backup_(time)_(site name)_(code)_(type).(zip|gz)).”
The issue is, my backup file is in the format ” backup-besteinkreader.com-01.27.2024_22-11-05.tar.” As noted, this backup was created using updraftplus and was never renamed. Moreever, I have other site backups in my google drive. The funny thing is the saving converntion seems to alternate between the correct and wrong formats. As an example, I have a backup for my other site that’s saved as “backup-sabroadband.co.za-01.27.2024_22-06-49.tar.” That’s in a folder that I named “My Websites Backup.” Then in another folder named Updraftplus, I have a backup of the same website with the names “backup_2024-02-06-2051_SA_Broadband_c128d078570b-db” etc etc.
Unfortunately, for the site that I wish to restore, I only have the tar.gz file. Hopefully you can help
