    When trying to restore it just says unpacking then critical error.

    Seems to get stuck on backing up or restoring plugins

    Hi,

    Yes, it appears that the process gets timed-out or killed. This could be due to limited server resources. As a workaround, restore each component one-by-one. You can start with uploads, themes, plugins, others and database should be last.

    im unable to restore plugins and when backing up it seems to get stuck on plugins.

    Can you try deactivating your other plugins and running a backup (I am wondering if you have a plugin conflict)

    Can you post your php error logs, these should be in the root of your site or you can ask your hosts for them
