Hello, today I went into Wordfence Central and it stated that I had connection issues with 3 of my sites.
The exact error was: Failed to connect to [domain] port 443: Connection refused

I have attempted following all of the instructions on similar tickets like this one: Unable to resolve domain redirects

The steps there did not work. I’ve also attempted with my Hosting company to whitelist Wordfences’ IPs as listed here Wordfence IPs and update the .htaccess file to see if that would help.

I’ve also checked that the SSLs were correct and my WP_HOME and WP_SITEURL are matching with the secure domain link.

Have you checked with your SSL provider or your host? The first error mentioned port 443 being blocked, which would be the SSL port.

Also, make sure when you’re adding it to central, you’re using the correct URL and not the wp-admin URL.

Let me know what you find!

    Thanks again!

I was working with my hosting provider the entire time and the host provides us the SSL certificate.
I tried again today and was able to reconnect all of my websites. I’d like to keep this ticket open though in case I run into the same problem where it will say there is a connection issue in Central in about 24 hours.

Please let me know if there is anything I can send to make troubleshooting this easier.

These threads will automatically close after some time so I will go ahead and close it now. If you have any other issues, you can open a new thread and just link back to this for reference.

I am glad you could resolve the SSL issue with your host!

    Thanks again!

Hi, I am also having problems with one out of my 5 sites ‘Unable to resolve domain redirects’. The other 4 were added to Wordfence Central with no problems. I have sent a diagnostic report. I have tried going through the other forums on this, but I am not having any luck. Any help would be very much appreciated – thanks.
