Unable to reorder slides – drag and drop

    Hello all,

    I went to update a Master Slider slideshow today, adding and shuffling content, but am unable to sort the slide order by dragging and dropping each image within the ‘slides’ tab. The slides pick up and drag, but do not drop into their new position.

    It’s been a while since I updated this so not sure when the issue arose. I’ve tried downgrading to several previous releases of Master Slider and have even gone back a couple of versions of WordPress, but the problem persists.

    This has been tested on another website using Master Slider with separate installation on another computer with the same results. Tried Chrome, Safari, Internet explorer and FireFox. So doesn’t seem to be a localised issue.

    Anybody else found this? Thoughts?

  • I am having the same problem on a client site. I believe the problem is related to the update to WP 5.9.

    We have the same problem with the Master Slider Pro. I also think it has something to do with the update to WordPress 5.9.

    I’ve already created a ticket at the Averta Support Center, unfortunately no answer yet.

    WordPress has recognised this problem and they will fix it in version 5.9.1

    For now, revert to WordPress 5.8.3 by following steps below:

    1. Navigate to Plugins > Add New.
    2. Search for WP Downgrade | Specific Core Version plugin. Install and activate this plugin.
    3. Navigate to Settings > WP Downgrade.
    4. Put 5.8.3 in WordPress Target Version field and click Save Changes.
    5. Click on Up-/Downgrade Core button. This will take you to WordPress Updates page.
    6. Click on Re-install version 5.8.3 button.
    7. Done! Now you are on WordPress 5.8.3. You can now rearrange your gallery as you please!

    Thanks all –?as you noted, reverting to WP 5.8.3 fixed the above.

    Awaiting the WP 5.9 update/patch.

    After updating to Master Slider Pro version 3.6.0 it is again possible to rearrange the sliders.
