• I’m trying to become a new registered member to the wpForo support forum (https://wpforo.com/community/). I completed the registration request, but have not received the registration email that would allow me to complete the registration process (over 12 hours). Requesting a lost password does not work and trying to register again does not work, because it says the email is already being used. I’m now caught in a loop and unable to register. Also checked my spam mail. Please advise. Thanks.

    I still had no success. Since my email was caught in the process of being registered, I could not reregister it. I was able to request a lost password reset though. I did see the confirmation that an email was sent, but did not ever get it.

    I recently experienced and issue with using this id during another registration process. I was not getting the emails. They had to manually register my id. It may have something to do with the domain. My email id uses a Comcast domain. For example: [email protected]. It would be interesting to determine if there’s other users that have successfully registered with a Comcast id.

    I decide to use my Google id for now instead. It worked fine to get registered. So I’m currently registered using my Google email. I still would prefer to use my Comcast id since, that’s my primary one. Any advice?

    I’m having a LOT of people register this week, about 200! since my online senior college is using the forum for posting zoom links, class syllabi, etc. Many seem to register easily, but quite a few do have problems registering. THIS IS NOT A WPFORO issue, since Wpforo only uses the standard Word press registration. Since you did register eventually, search your mail for the sender and see if the original registration msg ended up in Spam or Trash or Junk… Some of that has to do with gmail screening of messages, and it’s highly annoying. I suspect the WPforo team gets very very tired of answering registration questions, for their forum or for the forum the rest of us are setting up. Note, however, that if people don’t log out, and do successfully register once, they’re set for a while.

    Since I’m running MY forum, and I get a complaint, I usually just go into members and delete the person having a problem and ask them to try again. I do have quite a few people using a comcast ID who register successfully. Others, who mistype “hotmail” as “hatmail” for instance, have problems.

    Thanks for your response. I successfully registered using my Gmail id. I had no problems. I received the registration email and followed the directions to set my password, so I’m set with that id. I guess I would like someone to delete my Comcast id, so I can start over and try to get that id registered.
