I get as far as clicking the button to continue to Step 2, and then the browser tells me it can’t connect to my host file (developing locally), yet I can connect fine to everything else within my WordPress installation.

    Hi digitallyperry,

We run in to this problem occasionally in certain local development environments, but we have been unable to reproduce it on our end.

As a workaround, go to WP All Import ? Settings and enter in the port number that you are using.

Which local development environment are you using?

I am running WordPress through MAMP. Do you need any more details?

I used an alternative plugin in the end due to time constraints.
