I’m trying to ship from the USA to Puerto Rico. After all the information is filled out and I click the get shipping rates button, the error below appears.

packages[0][items][0][weight] is not of type number..

This was happening before the update this morning and still occurs after updating.

Hi @tanikthegreat, sorry to hear you are having issues.

Could you kindly share some more details around the information you have entered before trying to get rates? More specifically screenshots of your items table as well as the customs section you have entered.

    Thanks!

    Hello tanikthegreat,

    Thank you for your reply.

Could you tell me which version of WooCommerce Shipping you are using?

Please note that version 1.1.1 has been released, addressing the issue you encountered.
If you are using an older version, kindly update the plugin and inform us if you are now able to purchase international labels.

    Best regards

I’m on Version 1.1.1, and it did not address the issue.

The issue was happening yesterday before and after the 1.1.1 update.

I just checked again this morning and the issue is still occurring.

    Hi Zubair,

I also had this issue today on both 1.1.0 and 1.1.1

Temporarily I just disabled the plugin and used WooCommerce Shipping & Tax, which doesn’t have these kinds of bugs.

    Thanks,

    Peter

    Hi @tanikthegreat,

Looking at the shared screenshot, I’m able to notice the red error message at the bottom that suggest item [0] is not of type number. Were you able to ship items with the described weight before?

    Thread Starter tanikthegreat

    (@tanikthegreat)

Yes, I’ve shipped this item many times. This error is only happening in this new plugin.

    Hi @tanikthegreat,

Yes, I’ve shipped this item many times. This error is only happening in this new plugin.

Thank you for the additional details. To be sure, this has never worked with the new plugin, correct? On any of the previous versions either?

As a quick test, could you try getting the shipping rates while setting the item weight as 0,68 instead? If that doesn’t work, can you try without decimals, too? I want to confirm if it is the decimal separator or something else.

In the meantime, I’d like to understand your site properly. Please share with us the necessary information below for us to investigate the issue further:

    • System Status Report?which you can find via WooCommerce > Status > Get system report > Copy for support.
    • Fatal error logs?(if any) under WooCommerce > Status > Logs.

You could copy and paste your reply here or paste it via https://gist.github.com/ and send the link here.

Once we have more information, we’ll be able to assist you further.

    Thanks!

I didn’t do anything. The issue is just no longer occurring. I type in the same info I was before and it now allows me to get shipping rates.
