Unable to preview posts in WordPress?

  • I am unable to preview posts in WordPress?
    Whenever I click preview, either from the ‘all posts’ page or from the edit page of individual posts, it takes me to an error message saying “too many redirects”? This has been going on for about a week & I have cleared my cache and my cookies many times, as well as deactivated and reactivated all my plugins, but cannot find a culprit.

    My site is: https://tarotromance.com (and re-directs to https://tarotromance.com/about/) and I was wondering if this issue may have something to do with recently asking my hosts to re-direct my front page URL to https://tarotromance.com/about/ ?

  • Try removing the redirect you’ve put in place to go to /about/ and see if you can preview posts again. It seems as if this may be the issue. When you preview the post is uses a query parametre to load the preview which could be why.

    Hi Daniel,

    Yes I’m pretty sure this is the issue!

    But it took so long to get my hosting company to put the redirection in place, I don’t want to ask them to take it off and then to put it back again!

    So as I like the new home page, I guess I’ll just have to put up with it as it is!
