• I am a newbie. I have successfully created and uploaded my new website. When editing and considering adding new plugins I am unable to preview any plugin in the library via the “more details” button or by clicking the name of the plugin. The only way I can ascertain if a plugin is suitable for my needs is by installing and activating it and then keeping or deleting it as appropriate. Any suggestion will be welcome. Thanks.

  • Which plugins are you trying to get more details from? Some plugins simply don’t offer the view more details button, so that could be the problem.

    Hi Carl,
It is ALL plugins. When I click ‘More Details’ within any plugin, or the name of any plugin, a white box appears (this would be where the description would normally appear) with a grey spinning wheel. After a few seconds the wheel disappears and just the white box remains with a cross to close the box in the top right hand corner. When the box is closed nothing happens. This has not always been the case. I used to be able to preview all plugins before downloading. I cannot recall any specific event that preceded the plugins failing to function correctly.

@slw256 Without seeing anything myself and without having access, I can only guess it might be a permissions error.

I will explore any ideas, but I don’t understand (as I’m new to this) what ‘permissions’ are. Can you break it down for me please?
