• We love this plugin. Simple, effective, low overhead. However, since we added it a while back we noticed as odd anomaly crop up. Prior to adding the plugin an Admin was able to go into anyone’s post via the editor and Preview it.

Now, if we attempt to do so we get a WordPress error saying we don’t have the authority to do it. If we actually Update the post (not chnaging the contributor) it will then let us preview then on.

Vlad, I’m not sure it’s the plugin but only ask here as the timing seems so similar on when this started (old posts before we added the plugin let admins preview).

Can you think of anything that might cause this? Any help appreciated.

I never meet with such behavior. Administrator and editor role should be capable to edit and preview post of any author.

Try to deactivate User Role Editor temporally and test if situation will be changed.

I did. No change. Thus is sounds like it’s not you, but I also tried disabling every other plugin. No luck. It’s as if some sort of permissions issue has crept in.

I’m pulling out my hair trying to find it. VERY little about it online with only many year old fixes that don’t really apply.
